Two really exciting things have happened to us at Dartmoor Tweed this week.
The first is we got the go ahead to turn our looms storage space into a weaving shed where we can put all we want to do into development.
The second is we got offered a Warping Mill and not just any warping mill but one made by the same company who made our Dob Cross loom Hutchinson, Hollingsworth and Co Ltd. It is 100 years old. It was run on an old belt drive but now can be either used by hand or motor (or when the Mill is done, by belt again!) No one thought any still existed so how very lucky are we?
So to do both, a refurb and get the warping mill we have to start a new Go Fund Me Campaign to raise the money to do these things.
